Yuno Workspace started on a warehouse floor in West Footscray.

For five years, our founder Niall ran installation crews across Melbourne — fitting out offices, unpacking pods, assembling workstations, hanging screens. Thousands of jobs. Every major brand. Every kind of building, from CBD towers to Sunbury industrial estates.

You learn things when you install for a living. You learn which desks fit in a lift and which don't. Which chairs actually last five years. Which pods sound-seal properly and which leak conversation into the boardroom next door. Which suppliers ship on time and which ghost you when a screw is missing.

You also learn something else: most of what buyers pay for isn't the furniture.

It's the CBD showroom rent. The commissioned sales team. The three layers of distributors between the factory and the invoice. By the time an office chair reaches a growing business, it's been marked up two or three times.
